What role can physicians play in public health? How do physicians specialize in public health? These public health specialists use population health knowledge and skills to play leading and collaborative roles to maintain and improve communities' health and well-being. Through interdisciplinary and intersectoral partnerships, they measure populations' health needs and develop strategies to improve health and well-being. Dr. Shovita Padhi, Medical Health Officer and Medical Director at Fraser Health will describe a typical day on the job, and give you a sense of what you can expect in a public health physician career.
