Bioethics & Racial Disparities in Healthcare: Student Perspectives

  • 04 Feb 2021
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Webinar

This event will consist of a panel of students discussing the intersection of bioethics with racial disparities in Canadian healthcare.

About this Event

Thank you for your interest in this event led by Canadian Bioethics Society students during Black History Month, titled Bioethics & Racial Disparities in Healthcare: Student Perspectives. The event will consist of a panel of three students who will share deliberations on (a) how the field of bioethics can assist with addressing racial disparities in healthcare and (b) where bioethics, as a field, could do better to address this discrimination and inequity.

To note: given the personal nature of this topic for many individuals and communities, especially in light of the ongoing systemic racism and oppression faced by Black communities, Indigenous peoples, and People of Colour, we ask that all attendees ensure respect towards other people, communities, races, and cultures during this conversation, and that this be kept at the forefront of our minds while engaging in associated reflections.

Speaker Details: *to be added once panelists are confirmed*
