CATIE: Connecting with hepatitis C care during COVID-19

  • 06 Jul 2021
  • 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Webinar

Community hepatitis C programs have been dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with health inequities exacerbated and barriers to care increased, particularly for marginalized populations.

Launched in 2019, the Connecting with Care  films profile innovative models of hepatitis C care for people who use drugs in TorontoMontreal  and Ahtahkakoop First Nation . In preparation for World Hepatitis Day this July, we will reconnect with service providers from these programs to learn how they have adapted and responded to COVID-19.

Filmmaker Conor Ashleigh will host the discussion, in which we will hear how the pandemic has changed their practices and what insights they have for other service providers providing hepatitis C care.

This webinar and the Connecting with Care films are a partnership between the International Network on Health and Hepatitis in Substance Users  (INHSU), the Canadian Network on Hepatitis C  (CanHepC) and CATIE.
