The omicron variant of COVID-19: How to keep our communities safe

  • 16 Dec 2021
  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • Webinar

The World Health Organization has recently designated the omicron variant of COVID-19 as a variant of concern. Many people have questions about what the omicron variant is, what it may mean for our public health response to COVID-19, and what we should be doing to keep ourselves and our communities safe.

Join us for a COVID-19 information session where we will be discussing what it means for communities affected by HIV and hepatitis C and our community-based response to the pandemic.

Moderator: Shriya Hari, COVID-19 information specialist and education coordinator, CATIE

Speakers:

  • Darrell Tan, MD, infectious disease specialist, St. Michael's Hospital
  • Isaac Bogoch, MD, infectious disease specialist, Toronto General Hospital

This event is the fourth of a series of information sessions focused on COVID-19 biomedical knowledge relevant to communities disproportionately affected by HIV and service providers. To view recordings from past sessions, visit this web page.
