A New Option in the Fight Against HIV in Canada

Our real action plan to end the HIV epidemic in Canada will take a major step forward upon Health Canada’s expected announcement that it has approved the 1st ever license for a HIV self-test device. The CIHR Centre for REACH 3.0 / MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions, along with its partners, is offering this webinar series to provide you with the information you need to know now.

The specific topics that will be covered by our expert presenters will include:

§ How HIV self-testing works
§ Options to access HIV self-tests
§ Why linkage to care is critical for HIV prevention and treatment
§ The role of technology and community-based solutions to support HIV self-testing

This set of introductory webinars is open to all community agencies and their partners to assist them in preparing to support the launch of HIV self-testing in Canada.

REACH will offer further webinars on more specific topic areas related to HIV self-testing as appropriate to respond to demand.
