This webinar will explore interventions to address stress, burnout and depression among female health care workers.
About this Event
Eighty per cent of Canada's heath care workforce is made up of women. Research, funded by CIHR and led by Professor Abi Sriharan, of IHPME, shows that the COVID-19 pandemic is resulting in serious negative health outcomes for women, specifically younger and mid-career women. These include stress, burnout and depression, which can lead to increased substance abuse and suicidal thoughts.
In this webinar, Sriharan will present an overview of the team's research, including common triggers for these conditions and measures that can have a positive impact on the well-being of female health care workers.
There will also be a panel of health care leaders who will speak to their experiences during the pandemic and respond to the findings of the research. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A. We encourage you to come with questions.
