We make decisions about our health every day — from how many cups of coffee we drink to the time we crawl into bed at night. But are we basing those choices on scientific evidence? These days, health advice comes at us from a lot of places — including Instagram influencers and our aunts on Facebook. Those sources aren’t exactly scientific, and misinformation can feed a lot of unnecessary stress. Hear from health policy expert Timothy Caulfield, who will use science to explain how to stop worrying about health issues that aren’t really a threat. Drawing from his new book, Relax, Dammit! A User's Guide to the Age of Anxiety, Caulfield will share ways to recognize real science and dial down the stress in your day-to-day life. Presented by the Faculty of Law and the Alumni Association.
