Engaging knowledge users in basic science — tips, tricks and lessons learned

  • 26 Feb 2021
  • 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM
  • Webinar

What will be discussed?

In this webinar, Dr. Jens Vent-Schmidt will introduce KT practice in basic science in general, and highlight aspects beyond sharing of research findings through traditional outlets such as publications and conference presentations. We will explore who "the public" is in relation to your own research and consider different avenues of sharing research findings with knowledge users and integrate insights from knowledge users in your research. Dr. Vent-Schmidt will also illustrate KT practice using examples from his research and guide the audience through his learning path from a basic scientist to a KT practitioner.

After this webinar, the audience will be able to:

– Identify knowledge users for their research findings.
– Plan strategies for sharing research findings with knowledge users.
– Consider ways to integrate knowledge users' insights into the research program.
