Nourish Leadership: Food is Relationships

  • 23 Feb 2022
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Webinar

Food is relational, connecting people to culture, communities, and language. For many of us, our most treasured recipes and practices around food are those passed on to us from previous generations. Considering food in terms of relationships can help health care professionals to better understand the close connection between what we eat and our physical and mental health. In the Winter webinar: Food is Relationships, join us as we chat with TORY FISHER, teacher and Anishinaabemowin language keeper of Nbisiing Nishnaabek (Nipissing First Nation). Tory will share from his expertise of Indigenous histories as a teacher, and how he works to pass on practices such as rabbit snaring to the next generation.

This webinar is open to everyone, though all are encouraged to sign up for the Food is Our Medicine Learning Journey, an online course.

Nourish’s aim is for 400 health care professionals to complete the Learning Journey by June 21, 2022, National Indigenous Peoples Day. It’s not too late to register!
