How to Lead Intersectoral Collaborations for Health and Equity when Resources are Limited?

  • 11 Jun 2024
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • Webinar

The importance of collaboration between different sectors to fulfill the missions of prevention and health promotion, as well as to solve complex and multifactorial problems is widely recognized in the field of public health. While cross-sector collaborations already have well-known challenges, lack of resources is a reality that public health and its allied sectors also often face. Therefore, how can we go about establishing or maintaining cross-sector partnerships in a context of limited resources? The presentations in this webinar will be based in particular on the results of a literature review on the difficulties, opportunities and strategies associated with intersectoral actions in the context of budgetary constraints. The experience of deploying the initiative to promote COVID-19 vaccination among black communities of the General Directorate of Public Health of Montreal will also be presented. A final presentation will offer some reflections relating, among other things, to the topicality of the theme of intersectoral collaborations in the context of limited resources and the major practical strategies to prioritize in such a context.
