PHPC CPD Virtual Symposium 2026
Public Health in an Era of Uncertainty & Physician Leadership Institute Strengths-Based Leadership Workshop
Day 1: Strengths-Based Leadership, delivered by the CMA Physician Leadership Institute
- Date: April 22, 2026
- Time: 11:00am to 3:00pm Eastern Time
PHPC is pleased to sponsor members to attend this subsidized workshop, delivered by the Physician Leadership Institute. This interactive course will help participants accurately identify their personal strengths and leverage them using pragmatic strategies. It also offers ways leaders can identify and leverage the strengths of their people and teams to increase work engagement and well-being and drive innovation.
PHPC is collaborating with the course faculty to ensure, wherever possible, that content and examples are relevant to the public health specialty.
Note: this session is only open to PHPC practicing physician members. Should additional space be available one month prior to the session, registration will be opened up to PHPC resident members.
Day 2: Public Health in an Era of Uncertainty
- Date: April 23, 2026
- Time: 1:00pm to 4:00pm Eastern Time
This interactive workshop will feature insights from three public health physician luminaries: Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Dr. Paul Hasselback and Dr. Yv Bonnier Viger. These speakers will share their thoughts, reflections and insights into the uncertain times we find ourselves in and how to move forward. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions and engage in both small and large group discussions.
PHPC Annual General Meeting
The PHPC Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place immediately prior to the Era of Uncertainty session (12:00-1:00pm Eastern Time on April 23). All active PHPC members, both residents and practicing physicians, are invited to attend. There is a separate Zoom link for the AGM and PHPC members must register here.
Accreditation
Both the PLI workshop and the Era of Uncertainty session are eligible for section 3 CPD credits. Details will be shared following the Symposium.
