Presenters: Rebecca Mador, Cultural Safety Manager, and Nicole Blackman, Provincial Director The Indigenous Primary Health Care Council is pleased to present a Wise Practices for COVID Vaccinators webinar. The session will provide participants with foundational knowledge whether they are providing vaccinations to on-reserve First Nations or to Indigenous populations living in urban settings. As COVID vaccines continue rolling-out across the province, many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people will be receiving their vaccinations through mainstream health services. Given the negative historical and contemporary experiences that Indigenous peoples have had with the health system and beyond, it is imperative that Health Care Providers (HCPs) actively design and deliver vaccination services in such a way that supports high quality, safe experiences for Indigenous clients.
