Royal College Maintenance of Certification: What are Section 3 Credits and how do I get them?

As part of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Maintenance of Certification requirements, specialists must complete 25 Section 3 credits, each five-year cycle.  This session will explore the different types of activities recognized by the RCPSC for section 3 credits, how to evaluate one’s practice in public health and provide a framework for completing the Section 3 requirements within the MOC program.

Objectives
By the end of this discussion, participants will be able to:
•Describe the types of DPC activities recognized for Section 3 credits by the RCPSC
•Identify DPC activities that evaluate one’s practice in Public Health
•Establish a plan to complete a section 3 DPC activity
